ABOUT US

The Bavis Foundation

WHO WE ARE

History of The Bavis Foundation

The Bavis Foundation was formed in May 2020 as a private family foundation and is rooted in a family history of giving back.  Karen and Robert Bavis, along with their children, Chris, Danny, and Lauren, envision the Foundation as a vehicle with which to continue to strengthen their family bond while helping others.  We hope that by working together, the Foundation will help to give focus and structure to each family members’ diverse charitable vision while still working toward the common goal of uplifting our communities through education and involvement. While we currently focus our efforts on supporting childhood literacy, The Bavis Foundation is structured to grow and evolve with each of its directors' charitable passions.

The Bavis Foundation provides financial support to established charities which value education, opportunity, diversity, and compassion for all those in need.

Key areas of support include:

  • Children's literacy

  • General education

  • Support of our military and veterans

  • Environmental education & preservation

  • Special projects

Additionally, we have developed a number of internal initiatives that help to promote literacy in our local community and beyond.  For more information about these initiatives, please click here.
